Okay i have a 08 wk limited hemi, with the 18 inch premium wheels. I will soon be installing a RC 2" lift and i need some tires. I was looking to get 275/65R18 tires for it. Will those look too big/ have major rubbing? any reccomendations? please help !!!! anything is greatly appreciated thanks !

My RC lift is being installed this monday, I currently have 255/70/17's installed on my stock suspension with just a hair of rub at full lock, I'd say you will need spacers to make that work, look into spider trax spacers. Don't go with cheap ones

Thanks for the quick reply. Hmm, with the spacers i am worried that they will stick out too far and rocks will kick up. What size would you reccomend ? my WK is white and i notice every little rock chip so id love to prevent that

Well get the spider trax ones for our wk, they are only one size. But if you can avoid them then do it, iv heard to many horror storys of them failing even when maintained properly

Spider Trax worked well for me. No rubbing with 265/70/17's

Not saying they wouldnt work, but Iv heard to many stories of them failing, even when the owner took them off every 2,000 miles to re torque them and used loc tite.

I'm kind of nervous now, how could they fail? like what do you mean by that

Re: someone help ! tires !

The Spider Trax instructions state that the lugs need to be torqued in the first 100 miles, 500 miles. It is also important to get them checked every time you get an oil change. I just got mine torqued at 500 miles and I've had no problems so far.

Re: someone help ! tires !

Im not saying its common at all. Take good care of them and they more then likely will be fine, i still might get a set. They fail by letting a tire fall off the car. Theres a member here whos cousin was killed in an accident when one of this spacers let go and he lost a tire at highway speed. And he checked them more often then they say to. Freak accident.
