4.7 dual exhaust ?

has any one done this if so how do u like it?
i had a magnaflow and then switched to a 40 series flow master yesterday louder at slower speeds but I think magnaflow is louder when opened up. but I still want it louder any suggestions?

If youre going to do true duals, if any way possible, try to keep it equal length. Id run either an x pipe or H with a set of round case magnaflows. You should see a increase in power, use 2.25 or 2.5 piping.

I am in the same boat only with my wk 5.7 . I was looking at running a muffler with a single 3" inlet and dual 2.5 outlet either in a flowmaster 70 or magnaflow . On my wj i had the flowmaster setup and loved it with my 4.7 . It had no drone but sounded awsome.

Josh, make sure the piping is equal length or real close to it! if not you are wasting your time and $$$$.

If you use true duals, remember that you should buy two muffers...there are mufflers with the X pipe built in but they dont sound nor perform nearly as well.

Depends on how loud you want it.

Ive had great success with magnaflow round mufflers, but they might be a little too rowdy for you. The other thing is how they exit...For example, my setup (3" single on a 4.7 WJ from the Y pipe back, mandrel bent tailpipe) was very noticeable in the cabin, but when I had to remove my exhaust aft of the muffler, in driving it around it was almost as quiet as stock (even though it was deafening outside ). My understanding is that the WK has better soundproofing than the WJ so your truck might be less sensitive to that sort of thing.

The wider the muffler the less likely it is to drone. The length of the muffler affects the overall pitch/tone.

Borla mufflers, as well as Dynomax Ultraflows are also excellent.
