Cluster led conversion help

Ok, before i start, let me just add that i did search before asking. I want to do the cluster led conversion on my 2000 laredo since it is now too dim. Does someone have a diagram or tutorial for this, i keep finding some threads but they do not specify which specific led number they use or how to replace them, any help will be greatly appreciated!.

Re: Cluster led conversion help

What do you mean by cluster LED? The Led's that come in cluster pods?

The bulb numbers for the back lights are 3157's.(At least for 01, which I think is the same as 00')

They should be plug and play, but you will probably need a resistor.. which is basically you splicing them correctly, and installing the resistor against something that doesn't melt due to high heat because the resistors get very hot and will melt plastic, etc.

You can try these sites for LED's:

Flashtech.com
iJDMToy.com
VLEDS.com(more expensive but very good light output)
Superbrightleds.com(have a vehicle bulb finder that is very helpful)

If you have anymore questions, shoot em!

This is what i mean by the cluster, basically the instrument, also called cluster. I want to replace the current bulbs with blue led's since right now mine are dim. Thanks for the help, and its funny because i just received the 3157 led bulbs in the mail

You can use #74 bulbs in place of the #103.

Is it just a straight forward swap? I'm very interested in doing this.

You can buy those bulbs by the hand full on ebay for dirt cheap. I got them in green. They're T5 led bulbs.

Re: Cluster led conversion help

Do they just pop out like the 194 bulbs? or do you have to solder them on?
