Re: No brake lights?!

If you send power down pin 2 at the brake switch should be a white wire with a light green tracer, it should actuate the lamps, this is the output to the front control module. If this does nothing then its downstream, relay, FCM, wiring... if the lamps come on, so long as you have power in pins 1 and 3 and 5 has continuity to ground its going to be the brake switch.

Where is the brake switch? I didn't see it, and I have no symptoms of it being the switch because I have no problen shifting into gear

Re: No brake lights?!

shifting has NOTHING to do with it. the switch is by the brake pedal mechanism.

there is a 6 wire plug that connects to the switch ; foloow andrew from there

Re: No brake lights?!

there are like 3 separate switches that are for different functions in the one switch.

Re: No brake lights?!

Do you have a pic of the switch? Is it up high or low? I said that about shifting because in my girlfriends accord when the brake switch started going bad it would not shift out of park because it had no way of knowing your foot was on the brake.

Re: No brake lights?!

it is a switch that is actuated BY the brake pedal, just look above the brake pedal, pull the pannel down below the column and you will see it its like a white box with a black plunger coming out of it... supposedly your NOT supposed to remove them and reinstall them so leave it in unless you plan on replacing it.

like I said there are 3 separate functions of this switch according to the schematic all with outputs going different places.
