New Ride Canadian Overland

Hi,

Well it's finally in my hands. 2012 Overland with Polished Aluminum Wheels and Adaptive Cruise. The V8 Overland's in Canada have the QDII. I picked it up 400 km from home. Nice leisurely drive.

First impressions: Heavy steering, very little feedback. Some highway hop on 407 ETR. Tracked fairly true and didn't like surpises in the road.

Mileage was indicated at 12 L / 100 km. or just under 20 MPG. Not bad actually. Drove 400 km for about $50 dollars CDN.

Interior trim fit could have been better. Some of the inside utility doors do not line up correctly. The dash and the door trim do not line up as well as they should. Driver lumbar adjustment isn't providing as much extension as the passenger lumbar.

The Overland is still pretty good. I have had more issues with some MB's.

It still represents a lot of value compared to other AWD SUV's.

Very happy with the purchase.

May I ask why such a far pickup?

Where did you get it? North Bay? Welcome from Barrie!

I went to Windsor. It was the best deal that I could get. The Toronto dealers were all trying to push 2011's and they wouldn't deal on 2012's.

I got Invoice for a 2012 order. Took 4 weeks order to dealer delivery. Very fast!

NICE!!!!
I'm so happy the Cdn 2012's come with the QD II. I was debating whether to cancel my 2012 order and get a 2011 instead, but this is a relief.

What is your interior colour?
I ordered the Black Overland like yours with the New Saddle interior.
I called my dealer on Friday, to change the rims from Polished Alum to painted alum, because the upcharge was going to be over $400.00.
I like the polished like you have. Its just I already have way more $4 than that in accessories I want. :o

Windsor, eh?
I ordered mine from the dealer in Milton, ON.

Which dealer in Milton? Hopefully you went to Hunt Chrysler, everybody at Milton Chrysler is rude and give terrible service.

Nice ride! We still can't order polished wheels here in the States. That is the only option I miss, but I have to say, the painted rims look pretty good too.

Yes, it is Hunt Chrysler. ;) Our salesman is Todd Landry.

We've bought quite a few vehicles over the years from him -
a 1997 Durango, 1999 Grand Caravan, a 2000 Intrepid, a 2003 Grand Caravan ES AWD, a 2006 Pacifica AWD, 2006 Sebring, and 2011 Ram Pickup.
Prior to 97, I was a GM man, and drove Suburbans.

So you can order the polished 20's without getting the summit?

Sweet ride watchdog507. Congrats!
I have a pending deal on the same Jeep, but I opted for the V6.
I will find out tomorrow afternoon if everything pans out... was able to get it from a local dealer... I don't think Provincial could get me an acceptable number for my H2.

do you mind posting what you paid?

by the way, I'm all for building a good relationship with the dealer and purchasing from the same place. Before I moved, I bought 2 vehicles from the same Chrysler dealer due to service and price.
