Re: Hit 100k miles on the jeep!
Great news for sure. I own the same combo but with "only 77K" miles. I additionally own a 2002 Grand Cherokee SE 4.7L with 101K+ and counting. Hope that I did not just jinx myself-LOL. Seriously though, did you follow the Schedule B maintenance to a "T" or have your own plan? I have owned many Jeeps over the years and want to keep this one for many more years-retired and on forced budget. Other than the random failure(s) that we can not control, how about enlightening us with your tips of success? Thanks for any insight(s)?:thumbsup: Congratulations!!!

Re: Hit 100k miles on the jeep!
Thanks for the feedback. As for the regular maintenance I pretty much followed the schedule B minus oil changes. I do them every 5k and I use Pennzoil Platinum 5w20. The jeep is solid if you keep up on the maintenance. My first vehicle ever was a 1996 jeep grand cherokee v8 it had 170k when I sold it and it ran strong. Now dont get me wrong I have had to do my fair share of repairs to my WK but I consider most of these wear items anyways. They include the EGR, Heater core, P/S pump(it started to get loud), front axle isolator bushings, new rear E brake shoes plus all the schedule B stuff. The moral of the story is if you take care of your jeep and be proactive there should be no reason it doesnt last you a long time. I'm probably preaching to the choir because if you didn't care about your jeep you would not be a member here... ;)
