Hemi 5.7 Limited with 77k miles-no start

Newbie here-I did previously introduce myself in the appropriate section. Purchased a used Grand Cherokee Limited with many options for my wife since her 2002 Liberty was totalled due to a major "tree destruction" accident during tropical storm Irene, here in Ma. My son was driving the vehicle and is lucky to be alive to say the least. In either case, after waiting for title resolution, we picked the vehicle up approx. 1.5 weeks ago and have driven less than 400 miles. I had expressed my concern of differing wear diameter tires since a new tire was replaced on the driver front and the others have 77K on them. Another issue, but off topic. Yesterday, my wife decides to go to DunKin for her daily fix. Car would not start. Starter motor was engaging but motor was not firing. I suspected a problem with fuel related but not ignition. Talked to dealer today and confirmed that the fuel pump relay/module was preventing the fuel pump to operate properly. Will report the specifics including part number(s) replaced when resolved.

I believe there is a starcase reguarding a bushing that breaks and holds open a check valve...

Tires are a concern on a limited as there are clutches in the differential... YES they are typically not applied but applied or not having differing axle speeds is generally never considered ok on a awd/ full time 4wd application.

Being a "newbie", please define what a "starcase" is please? Thanks for the clarification. I have researched recalls, etc for the vehicle in question but am not familiar with the term? Thanks again. I never pass on information when I can learn!

You wont be able to find starcases, maybe calling a dealer, maybe calling chrysler, but the google wont pull up a list of starcases.

Star is chryslers tech help resource. Weird problems, or abnormal symptoms, a tech can contact star (make a "starcase"). Sometimes there are known issues that a proper repair is in the works, or a common rub point on a harness to check, for weird symptoms... I am honestly not sure what deturmines when a starcase is published, but published starcases can be searched through.

Update for future reference. Problem was traced to a fuel module issue. P/N 4692069-AB, with description, Block NON 8015009. Took the dealer 11 days to procure part since they seem to be far and few between. Only positive is that I have a working Jeep and do not have to listen to my wife's daily rants-LOL. As a side note, the fuel pump, P/N 5143579-AK, with description Module FU 14067003 was replaced 9 days earlier. When I asked the service manager about the recent fuel module repacement, he was not able to relate the two problems together. He did, however, mention that the Jeep would start if the fuel module was "jiggled". My suspicion, is that the primary problem all along was the fuel module and not the fuel pump as noted. JMHO though. Glad that the problem is resolved at the moment.
