Now That's Just Weird
My Summit has just under 10K miles. . . I have noticed a faint "fluttering" sound coming from somewhere behind me. It only occurs at about 25 MPH, and almost exclusively when decelerating in coast with no gas being applied. I have battened everything down I can think of. . . looked into the pano roof components with no success, and the sound continues with specific consistency.

Any ideas out there?

Stops when breaking, or no?

I have it too... i thought it might be a rock in the tread, but it wasn't. Maybe a rear wheel bearing? I will have to wait until it gets louder to figure it out.

Does changing mode to tow/haul, sport, or manual downshifting change the fluttering? This transmission is not all that smooth.

Re: Now That's Just Weird
Holly crap! I'm glad I found this thread... I have been wanting to post a thread about this for a couple of weeks now. I have heard the same sound with my '12 Overland. I only have 1,300 miles on it, but the sound started at around 500 miles. This sound reminds me of a 2002 Tahoe I owned. The sound came from the thottle body, but that more of a high pitch squeel. GM replaced the TB under warrenty and I never heard the sound again. Anyway back to the GC.
This sound we are talking about happens around 25 MPH during decceleration. When I apply the brake the sound travels through the right rear brake assy. This only happened once while applying the brakes, but I hear that sound comming from the rear of the vehicle from time to time. Any up-dates would be helpful. Thanks.

Re: Now That's Just Weird
I have it once in a while... but very rare. Almost sounds as if a window is slightly cracked/open... but it's not. Doesn't really happen often enough for me to take it in for that, though...
