I hooked up a trailer the other day to my 06 Overland and couldnít get the left side lights to work. After checking for power to the wiring and not getting anything there I decided to check for codes with a scan tool. I got these codes;
B166B Left trailer tow lamp control circuit low
B166C Left trailer tow lamp control circuit high
I also got this one.
C1417 Front differential circuit low
Anybody know what could be causing the trailer lights not to work?
No warnings in the EVIC so I donít know why it has the front diff code.
Looking into this further, I see B166B and B166C are both and either the Integrated Power Module (TIPM) or the Front Control Module (FCM). Just from what I see, it could be either/ or becuase both codes poped up.
Lastly C1417 could be the front differential solenoid, or the wiring.
