Buying a GC with Quadralift & small wheels
I am looking at a new Grand Cherokee with Quadralift. I'd prefer higher profile tires for better ride comfort, and to better allow lowering tire pressure in some off-road situations that need more traction. Also, a small wheel/bigger tire should logically reduce unsprung weight.

Available GC's in my area with quadralift all have 20 in wheels and 265/50 tires. Other than appearance, what is the point of the big wheels? Is it possible to get QL with 265/60 R18's or the 235/70 R17s?

The optional Off-Road package takes the 20" rims out and puts in the 265/60R18 you're looking for.

Keep in mind just because there 20" wheels doesn't give you better ride quality. Actually the lower profile tires on the 20's make it slightly rougher with the 50 sidewall. The higher profile 60 and 70 tires give a better ride due to more rubber. I test drove both the Overland with 20" wheels and the larado/lomited with higher profile tires and IMO they ride better, softer.

Just my 2 cents.
