Tires 2008 Grand Cherokee Overland

Hi all

I really love the look of the Goodyear Fortera HL 245-60R-18 (raised white lettering) on the Overland. I have seen BFG Duelers and Pirelli's on the Grand Cherokee as replacement, which I am sure are perfectly good tires, but they don't pull the look together like the Fortera's.

I am open to suggestions to another tire that looks solid on my model/trim.

Unfortunately the price for the Fortera north of the border are astronomical. Dealer quoted me 388/tire (but its buy 4 get one free). Tax and installation in that is 1400 dollars.

Has anyone in Ontario had better luck with getting a fair deal on these tires? I am also willing to take a shopping trip to Western NY if the prices are more reasonable there.

Thanks for any feedback.

I just had some General Grabber AT2's put on my Jeep today. Size is 255/60R18, they fit great and there is no rubbing. I don't know the availability of these tires in Canada. Here is a link: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....l=Grabber+AT+2 Hope this helps.

Update: After searching high and low in the Greater Toronto Area the best price I could find for either the General At2 or the good year Fortera H/L was in the range of $1350. They simply do not stock them up here in that size and they are inevitably a special order.
So I made the trip to South and believe it or not one dealer had an amazing deal on them: I was quoted $826 installed- all in. When I got there I was told that it was a 2-3 hr wait for install and that they didn't have nitrogen (and that nitrogen wasn't necessary????). I decided to get them installed at Dunn Tire instead. When I got to the dealer cash they billed me out at 145/Tire! Bonus as Goodyear just put on a promotion on the tires that day. So in the end, nitrogen filled Goodyear Fortera H/L installed and back home $723.00. (plus 1/3 of a tank of gas).
