55W hid's

so just bought 5000K 55w hid's lows and fogs and they wouldnt turn on so i realized i needed a relay. should i just return them for the 35w ballasts or just get a relay for each light?

Re: 55W hid's

yep...you need a relay for each lamp

Re: 55W hid's

would a relay that goes to two ballasts be good enough?

Re: 55W hid's

Yeah, typically the relay harness will encompass both ballasts - wired for both.

Re: 55W hid's

would i need a higher wattage fuse because i have 55w ballasts?

Re: 55W hid's

IMO.....I would use a single relay for each lamp....may cost you more now.....but save you some work and heartache down the road. For example-what if that one relay for two lamps fails? Both lamps are OUT.

I agree, I have a relay for each lamp.

Also IMO 55W HIDs are WAY to bright for halogen headlights. You'll be blinding every oncoming driver.

Re: 55W hid's

just get the 35w. There should be no reason for a 55w in a headlight imo
