Kicker upgrade - not impressed

Looks like I am going to be one of the few to say I am not that impressed with the Kicker upgrade. I am still trying to figure out if I have the right Kicker amp (have to pull it out to get , but I feel the system is lacking in highs and the speakers seem to bottom out too easy with the lows. I had a basic stock system in my X5, added some MBQuart speakers to it and man, that thing sounded good! Just don't feel like I am getting my money's worth from this "upgrade".

Anyone know the frequency range of the RER/ Kicker amp setup?

Re: Kicker upgrade - not impressed

amp 150 on ebay
single sub 400 on here
6 speakers bought new from moparsupercenter about 200

and I can say I AM IMPRESSED/

I see you are questioning the amp: my question would also include the speakers. I DONT THINK that the factory installed system in the 09+ is the same parts amp and such as the UPGRADE parts. IDK for sure. where are yours from? are you sure?

anyway, sorry it doesnt meet expectations/

Re: Kicker upgrade - not impressed

I bought the Kicker upgrade used from a member on here - all the Kicker speakers and Kicker amp, no sub. Everything was in great shape, so I am not worried about it being damaged or abused. I have an Alpine sub and amp from my X5 that I will install soon, so I will have the bass taken care of. Again, the highs are what I am most disappointed with, so knowing the frequency range would tell me if I need to maybe get an aftermarket amp for the speakers or maybe upgrade the speakers again, maybe replacing the dash and front door speakers with some component speakers (tweets in the dash and mids in the doors).

That doesn't agree with what is posted here: http://wkjeeps.com/wk_kicker.htm

Plus others have stated they installed the Kicker upgrade and have surround - still not sure why we don't.
