Threads on painting exterior plastic trim?

I remember a few years back a thread or two on the exterior plastic trim painting process, does anyone know if they are still on here? I can't seem to find them. I want to paint the air dam and door trim on my Laredo and if they goes well maybe the mirrors and handles also.

I've seen a couple topics on it. I plan on doing mine this week and will probably do them while still on the car. Just a lot of taping off to do!

there are many topics on painting plastics....

PREP is the most inportant step. Items needed are something to clean the items with very well. Start with soapy water and let them air dry. ITS very IMPORTANT to NEVER touch a clean part with your bare hands! The oils from your skin will cause problems. You also need tack cloths, high build primer, bulldog plastic adhesion promotor, good paint and clear. You will also need varying grits of sandpaper. Paint in a closed up enviroment with no dust. Do many light coats....not 1 heavy coat...even with the primer. Let the paint CURE a good 3-4 days before wetsanding. Be patient is the most important step!
