WK2 Rock Rails or Sliders
I've read the threads regarding the Mopar rock rails and the Rocky Road Supersliders and have some questions or observations. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

1. It appears that once the Mopar rock rails are on, the flange nuts below the door sill are hidden with the door closed, but can be seen when the door is open. Correct? Or, are the nuts also visible with the doors are closed when you step away from the rig?

2. How does the Mopar fit and finish look below the door and door sill look? Without the molding there isn't there now a joggle from the bottem edge of the door to the body and then down to the rock rail?

3. Measured from the bottem of the door sill opening how far do the Mopar's stick out from the body?

4. Rocky Road Supersliders don't look like they cover the whole area between the wheel wells leaving the rocker panel exposed. The install could be easier as it appears to mount differently. I've talked with RR and asked for more pictures and pdf instructions, but they said they don't have any. Strange. Anyone have these sliders or seen them?

If anyone has clearer pictures than what has been posted, please share.

Thanks. Appreciate the help.

Re: WK2 Rock Rails or Sliders
I looked at both and went with the rock rails as they covered more area. And yes when you open the door you can see the bolts on the Mopar .. but it looks fine. Given the choice again ... I would choose the Rock rails -- I have used them and hit some rocks really hard .. .and nothing... they are solid. They also act as a deturant against parking lot rash. if you go up ot ORI if someone parks really close to your car and opens there door ... they get the damage not you

I went with Mopar RR's for more coverage as well. You can see the bolts but they are not an eyesore at least not to me. The utility of these has been great for accessing the roof, helping my wife and kids get in, for good tough looks, the thought of having even better impact protection all around the car, and or the occasional stump we happen to jump . Absolutely no complaints or regrets on the Mopar units aside from the fact that they are a bit of a pain to install. Wouldn't want a rushed dealer service dept doing them, but that's just me. It's a nice 6 pack DIY on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon with the game on in the background...ahh!

Re: WK2 Rock Rails or Sliders
I've had Moapar rock rails on all three Grands and wouldn't wheel without rocker protection. I've seen what damage no rock rails, or the tubular steps for that matter, can result in. The install for the WK2 is really different than on the ZJ or WJ.

Having to remove lower body cladding and how that looks once the rock rails are installed is my first concern. The second is how much it effects stepping in and out. Don't really plan on serious wheeling, but being in Moab that may be a relative thing.

Hopefully someone will post some well lit pictures that show the installed rails with the doors opened and closed.

Yep, already saw that and other posts. Would still like to see some with better contrast from the side.
