Polished my car today but..

There is some dried on bird crap or some other stuff that just doesnt want to come off in a few spots, especially on my hood. I used a Lake Cyan pad with 105 on a porter cable but it just wouldnt come off. Anyone have any tips? On a good note the oxidized as hell red dump truck we have came out great you can actually see reflections in the paint. I just did 105 with a cyan on the dump truck. I'm not too concerned about the finish so didnt bother destroying one of my tangerine pad's using the 205 on it. My Jeep will look good once I figure out how to get this stuff out of the paint, I'm thinking dry sanding might be the only way now? My hand's are still numb from the Porter Cable but it seems like a great machine.

You need more then a cyan pad for the amount of cut, yellow maybe. Cyans a very light cut

How's the white pad that the Porter Cables come with for cutting?

Idk, I didn't try it cause I wasn't familiar with it, I had the same issue you are having, the cyan pad wasn't enough so I went to yellow and was very careful and it worked.

Thanks, i'll give the white a shot tomorrow, if that doesnt work i'll pick up a yellow. I had a feeling the cyan wouldnt be enough for some of the stuff I have on my car.

Be careful, that might be wool, and that's super aggressive.

The pad it comes with is a white foam, I would say its similiar to the cyan because I tried it today and it would not cut for shit, i'm going to pick up a meguiars pad with a harsher cut tomorrow so I can knock out this impossible to remove dried brid crap all over my car it's driving me nuts and looks horrible.

If you can, maybe Wet Sand it lightly then try polishing it out.

white is for removing polishes and wax...not cutting. The clearcoat may be etched and it may not come out

The white pad that comes with the PC is a cutting pad, LC white pads are for removing polish and wax like Scott said. Be careful with the PC pad!
