Easy Entry/Exit Seat

I just discovered the "Easy Entry/Exit Seat" feature and really enjoy it. However, I am worried about overusing the motor and burning it out quickly. Do you all use this feature for everyday use?

This was turned on when I picked up my WJ and thought the exact same thing. To be honest I found it annoying and switched it off anyway but to be honest I can't see it wearing out the motor all that quickly.

I know some women like to drive with the seat as close to the wheel as possible and can see this being a great feature though.

I love it on my 2009 Ram and my 2011 JGC. I also have the Lifetime Maxcare on both so I'm not worried about the motor burning out but I really wouldn't be too concerned with it.

I turned it off because even at 5feet 10inches I could not reach the push button start:)

I tried once when new. Haven't used it since.

I thought it was a nice feature of the WK, but then I worried that my wife would a package on the floor behind the driver's seat and it would get squashed when I pushed the button!

I leave it enabled, but you do have to be careful about leaving objects on the floor behind the seat.

Our 2008 Liberty has it, and we've had it enabled since new and the motor seems as strong now (at 106,000 miles) as it did when it was new. We have it turned on in our 2011 WK2 as well, and the only problem we've had is that the driver memory seat stopped working at one point and we had to move the seat to the front and rear ends of the track a few times to get it to re-calibrate itself. The easy entry/exit feature has worked fine.

Never served much of a purpose for me. I'm 6'7" so the seat didn't have much more room to move back haha.

If your wife is 5'2, like mine you would appreciate this feature much more. Not getting hung up between the backrest and the steering wheel is one of the main reasons I bought the Jeep:lol:
