Would these work okay with a modified OME lift?

I came across these:

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f127/...hocks-1278892/

...and was wondering if they would work with a modified OME lift (like mrtosh & others)...or would i be better off sticking with OME shocks?

if it makes sense to buy these would anyone else be interested in the other 2???

Thanks.

Well omelet runs fox shocks with his modified ome lift. But his are 11" travel. Those are 10" travel if that helps. I'm no shock guru

yea, i'm thinking they will work but i don't have a whole lot of shock knowledge so i'm trying to be sure, it looks like they might already be sold so might be a lost cause at this point. but id like to know what size to look for in the future because i think it might be nice to have something a little longer than the ome ones...

You can get the Superlift SSR shocks or just the plain Jane Superlift shocks for a 4" setup. That will give you 11" of shock travel. You will need to worry about extending your rear brake lines or making a bracket to extend the stock mount though. That is if your going to be wheeling with the rear sway bar disco'd.

i really don't need the bigger shocks but i thought since ill be adding an 1"+ to the ome lift that ill be in the same boat i am now with shocks shorter than the lift thus wearing out quicker. any truth to that? or should i just stick with the old man emu shocks that come with the kit?

If you're not going to wheel it I'd keep the OME's. If you do wheel it that's when you can over-extend the shocks and cause issues.

Re: Would these work okay with a modified OME lift?

yeah, most of my wheeling is pretty mild. i am upgrading my lift so i can be more capable and tackle a bit more than i can now, but the more i think about it i think i will be okay with the shocks that come with the kit i suppose.

and just pm me when you are ready to ship your extended sway links...
