USB question

I am having some trouble transfering pic's via the USB.
I have tried both USB's ports, and the system greys out the USB soft touch button on the screen.
I have changed the picture size (240 x 158) as recommended in the manual.
The USB stick is formatted in Fat (not FAT32) which i thought it should be.
Has anyone else had any issues, if so can you advise as to what i need to do please

Cheers

Andy

Re: USB question

The unit is not picking up the usb stick. Try putting on at least one mp3 file. I has worked for me and I use a 8g stick

Re: USB question

I was trying a 1g stick with just half a dozens pic's reduced to 240 x 158 as per the manual, i know that my usb in the centre console works as i have my Itouch plugged into it and works fine, (have not connected the Itouch in the radio usb slot.
Would the size of the stick make any difference?

Re: USB question

I tried last night 1g fat with mp3 and 5mb photo worked.
And 8gb fat32 with the same on it worked.
16gb fat32 did not work.

Re: USB question

It Worked

Had to put on a MP3 file for the system could read to stick, when i removed the MP3 file i could not see any photo's, and the soft touch was greyed out.
Also loaded up a larger file as Deserthucker did and that also worked.

Thanks guys

Re: USB question

In order to add jpeg files there must be at least one mp3 file along with the jpeg files stored on the mass storage device in order for the “FROM USB” soft key to become active. If only jpeg files are stored on the mass storage device and an attempt is made to download these files onto the radio’s HDD the “FROM USB” soft key will remain inactive (greyed out).
