help!

Just bought a '03 crand cherokee. Love it. My question is how do I get the wheel off the hub it seems frozen to it

Re: help!

If you can, spray some penetrating oil behind wheel. Usually I take a long pry bar and get it between wheel and something solid, like the steering knuckle where tie rod attaches. Just put a rag or block of wood between wheel and bar.

Re: help!

As long as the jeep is secure on a jack stand or a good quality jack give it a good swift kick on the bottom of the rim, right where the tire meets the rim with the heal of your foot.. You might have to kick more than once. Should pop right off..

Re: help!

I was told this trick by an old tow truck driver... Loosen the lugs and goose it forward hit the brakes hard reverse hit the brakes and it should break it loose. But use this tip with caution...
