There was enough power but we travel to Alabama from mi several times a year. The hills worked the V6 quite hard and the V8goes through them like a knife through butter.......JB.

If the trade isn't too hard, I'll do similar when the CRD is available.

that sure isn't a city like Pittsburgh. :) you're lucky to get 2 below the rated city mileage in any vehicle where I live.

And no, the v6 doesn't have enough power for anyone, it's all lies. Unless you are coming from a Prius or smart car. :)

Yeah...I refuse to believe someone is averaging 20.8 in the city. Call me jealous but I have the V6 and do 80% hwy and I was elated with my last fill up averaging 17.5. Overall with 10900 miles on the clock I'm at 16.7mpg. So yeah I call major B.S on your claim. No offense.

Perhaps you have stock tire and an early build and never had the update done for the V6 that prevents it from shifting into 3rd so soon. When I had that done I noticed at least a 1mpg drop but was worth it to avoid the lazy shifting.

With the V6 and mostly around town the EVIC shows about 19 MPG for us. We have an early build but AFAIK we did have the update done...still upshifts a bit early if you back off of the gas too soon.

I'll admit the V6 is working hard to haul this heavy SUV but I'm fine with the acceleration off the line. If you want any real performance or towing ability, however, I'd admit that you want to pass on the V6.
