JeepDirect.net - any experience with this?

Thinking about purchasing new 2012 GC Overland with Off-Road Adventure package (I want full size spare and 18 inch wheels) and beige interior. For some reason it is EXTREMELY hard to find a car with beige interior and I'm not sure why - plenty of BLACK and SADDLE.

Long story short, I'm feed up with all those dealers trying to sell me stuff that I don't want. That being said anybody tried jeepdirect.net? What is this site? Anybody had any luck with it? Would love to buy the car online, get a good deal and for the truck to be delivered to my driveway (already have seen the car so I know what I want).

On a similar note any experience (good or bad) with ZAG.com?

Thanks,
Paul

Zag gave me some of the best "upfront" no BS offers I could find.
Be aware depending on what zip you enter any unpublished regional incentives can and will effect participating dealers best ZAG price. I entered a NY & FL zip and the best prices were better by about $400.00 for the NY zip. A month ago the FL zip had the better pricing???? So it may vary with region and timeframe.

Many dealers tried to add "fees" if you let them, be carefull and firm that you won't pay them! :slapfight:..... but most will give you the below invoice ZAG price w/ no BS!

I used the ZAG pricing to negotiate an even better deal exactly $1154 below invoice! Good Luck!

Hey Paul, simply put, JeepDirect.net is amazing and when I say amazing I mean amazing. Im a guy over by new york, so theirs a few dealers around my way so I understand how you feel about all these Dealers and being fed up with their BS, like u I knew what I wanted and was not going to settle for less. Saw the commercial for Jeep Direct and decided to give it a shot and now I'm riding in my 2011 Cherokee Limited, Grey Metallic w/ Black Interior 20 inch Wheels, DVDs on the back, exactly the way I wanted

When I say Jeep Direct was easy I mean EASY!! first you build your own car so your not dealing with the hassle of explainin what you want or what your package includes, you just click on exactly what you want in your jeep, send it and then they give you quote on your exact jeep in seconds and the dealer that honors it, they sent me to the bronx and for a second I was a little concerned because I was already tired of dealing with the Dealers, either way they called me before I called them and just told me to bring in my quote, as simple as that....didn't believe it, but I gave it a shot and I couldnt believe it, They honored my quote AND actually had my Car in stock, no stress literally just came in and handed them my quote next thing I knew I was signing papers...they told me even if they didnt have my Jeep in stock they'd secure it for me in 48 hours for being a Jeep Direct Customer and all the other good stuff that comes along with being a "Direct Customer", lucky for me they had it in stock (played the lotto that night too just to see If i can keep my luck going I felt so lucky...that didnt work so well tho..)

By the way the price???? lets just say I feel like the cops are after me because with the price they quoted me you think I robbed them, but like I said they sure did honor it, no tricks no nothing. I'd be honest with you Paul, Im surprised I even wrote this much, usually if I post something on the internet its 3 sentences long, but this JeepDirect thing, I just had to let you and any others that are looking for Jeep know, Hope this helps

Re: JeepDirect.net - any experience with this?

Just checked out jeepdirect.net. Excellent price! $1100.00 below invoice for the exact same model I just ordered. Make sure you check the fees they try to throw in to complete the deal.

Funny thing thru Amex ZAG I was quoted $861.00 below invoice for the exact same Overland Summit build, last week 10/17/11! And get this; that ZAG quote was from the exact same dealer offering $1100.00 under from jeepdirect.net!

Jeepdirect.net is definitely the way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice call!

This is the first I have heard of Jeepdirect.net. Who is behind it? Is it Chrysler themselves or a dealer group? What are the restrictions, fees? Thanks.

Re: JeepDirect.net - any experience with this?

Looks like this jeepdirect.net site works in a similar way to ZAG.com. Seems like I have nothing to lose and I will give it a try. I like zag as well but the only problem is that the quotes that you get from ZAG are for IN STOCK cars only. The car that I want is definitely not in stock anywhere near.

Two more questions:
1. What are reasonable fees charged on top of the price that I would get from let's say ZAG (I understand that fees can differ from state to state). Anything to be aware of? I'm absolutely certain that they will throw stuff at me to make up the discounted price of the vehicle.

2. Any good dealerships/salesman in Tri-State area that you can recommend? I'm willing to pay a little bit more if I can get no BS good faith estimate, bring the money and get my car w/o hassle.

Re: JeepDirect.net - any experience with this?

If your in NYS the ZAG and jeepdirect dealer seems to be Eastchester Jeep in the Bronx. I did use their price to press a dealer closer to me into a better deal, and I had to order the Summit I wanted, none had it in stock.

All NYS dealers will charge;

A $10.00 safety inpection fee, (thats for the inside windshield inspection sticker)
$12.50 NYS Tire recycling charge (required by law)
$75.00 DMV paperwork processing fee, for registration, tittleing (this is the maximum NYS allows)
THATS ALL I would pay!

If you lease or finance there could be some more fees added to do that, filing fees ect., but be carefull most of the time these fees are just added dealer profit increasing the below invoice price significantly!

Went through the whole schmear on Jeep direct 3 times now and got the message that we've sent your quote! Unfortunately it never gets here.... Before you guys tell me to check my spam trap :) I am a systems engineer by trade and checked all that including adding them to my trusted e-mail sources - so unless Comcast is eating the e-mails, I'm beginning to think this is a scam.... :(

I just got a quote through Jeepdirect.net on a 2012 5.7 4wd Limited with Lux II, 730n,Trailer Tow IV, and 20" rims for $39,211 which is 2,995 below invoice and $5904 under MSRP. The only problem is I live in CT and the quote was from Eastchester Jeep in the Bronx, NY.
