Media center 430 to play MKV movie files

Can a media center 430 on a lerado x 2011 play MKV files?
Can it be modified to do so ?
Thanks

I doubt it. The manual only says it can play MP3 and M4P. I doubt it even plays OGG.

I would remix the video to an acceptable format. If you have ant ati video card (400HD and higher) there is a internal hardware encoder AVIVO. it can re-encode the video to an acceptable format.

MKV is a container - containing HD video usually. Not even windows 7 has NATIVE support for this format - I doubt jeep / navteq has it.

I have a 730N and plan to re-encode to about a dozen different formats to see if it will play a video file off the HDD. I doubt it will, and will result in burning dvd's

Re-encode and be happy!
