I have a quandary, I originally purchased my Overland in Vic but due to the delay in availablity I now live in WA and it will cost an extra $4k to deliver in WA. I was going to fly to Melbourne and pick up the car there but I can't as I can not get it registered in my name as I am not a Victorian resident!!! Bureaucracy! Any suggestions from the learned minds out there? I don't want another 6 month wait!

Re: Registration
You can organise a temp reg where you pay for either one week rego to bring the car into WA and then pay a transfer fee in WA to get it swaped over. Or get all details you require to reg it in WA and fly over with the paper work ... this can be done as Qld were going to do it for me as i'm posted in the NT. The dealers should be telling you how to do it as they did for me.

Re: Registration
$4k for delivery to interstate? Tell them they are dreaming.
As a last resort you could always fly ther, pick up a rental car and trailer, then carry it back yourself.
