Grinding when braking

Noticed it last week. Isn't the brakes cuz I have about 40% left. Doesn't happen all the time either. Happens if I break hard, but not slam on then. It also happens when I stop more slowly. Doesn't sound like brakes to me either but it's in the front end somewhere.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Greg

Possibly just crap stuck somewhere. I had a really annoying squeak that constantly came from the passenger side, turned out to be some crud stuck between the pads and discs
