2008 WK Factory Shop Manual

What is the availability of a Factory Shop Manual for a 2008 WK?

A manual on a CD would be nice. I really don't care for the generic manuals - they were OK when car lines were similiar to each other, but those days are gone. I understand that specific manuals are available, but the format is new to me - I've got enough trash on my computer already - I really don't need something else.

Does anyone have a copy that can run simply from a CD, or from a hard drive?

there are copyrights on those types of things so please no discussion on making COPIES of manuals, please keep it private in PMs.

but you could try google searching places like scrib'd; I have downloaded mine from there. they are only UP fopr a while I am guessing due to licensing...........

oh yeah. stay away from some Minnow guy around here. he was SELLING copies and not delivering :(

Re: 2008 WK Factory Shop Manual

I did not mean to suggest that anyone do anything illegal. I was simply inquiring as to if there were a CD available that pertains to this particular vehicle, as opposed to some generic manual such as Chilton's or Haynes.

I have no use for such a non-specific manual - either in written form or on a CD.

Can anyone steer me the right way or provide information?

Thanks -

Is this Manual on a CD equivalent to the Original Dodge Shop Manual?

I bought my hard copy used on -bay at ~$150 several years ago. It's 6 volumes, each about 2" thick

It's a disappointment compared to the previous Grand Cherokee factory shop manuals I've had. This one is 75%-80% electronic diagnostics geared towards the StarScan tool. Lots of errors and inconsistencies from poor proofreading. Particularly deficient in HEMI drawings and pictures.

If I had it to do over, I would buy the cheaper CD version for 20% of the price and have enough left over for the Chilton Grand Cherokee book. Chilton has errors also, but better pictures. Between the 2, you can do what you need to.

I just bought this one and had a quick look though it. Seemed to be pretty good so far but didn't have WH information that I was hoping for though so he gave me my money back. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....ht_3956wt_1139

I got a 2009 service manual on CD direct from Chrysler/TechAuthority: https://www.techauthority.com/en-US/Pages/Home.aspx

It's great and has tons of info but I have two small gripes w/it:
1) Even though it's a 2009 manual, it's shows 2005-2007 bumpers and whatnot. For example, before I removed my lower front fascia/airdam, I looked in the manual to see everything that had to be done but couldn't find it because it showed the '05-'07 bumpers!

2) You can't do a word search w/in the manual. You can only browse via the table of contents.
