Thoughts on Price?
I'm looking at picking up a Jeep GC Overland. I'm looking to perhaps save a few dollars, and found a 2011 with the V6, Black exterior/Saddle Interior and Rear DVD. I'm not sure what else you could add to this.

Anyways, MSRP is $44k....thoughts on what I should be asking for? I haven't gone down to the dealership yet, but online they gave a quote of $40k, but I want that to drop a bit. I was hoping/thinking in the $35k range....crazy?

Re: Thoughts on Price?
Not really. I paid 39k for v8 overland no rear DVD. I would guess around 37k

Oh, and how long ago was that?

Re: Thoughts on Price?
Dealers get more holdback cash as an incentive to move the remaining 2011 inventory. $37k would probably be a good price now. When you go to look at the Jeep, look on the driver's door frame for the build date. If it was built before June you need to make sure they have taken care of all the TSB's for the vehicle. There are several.

Re: Thoughts on Price?
Interesting. Thanks for the heads up. A dealer flat out told me on the phone the other day that Jeep could care less if they sell any remaining 2011's and there were no incentives. I'll take that as not being true.

Also, are there no incentives to lease a 2011 now as well? (I run my own business, so was thinking of the tax write off perspective.)

Re: Thoughts on Price?
You can get a 2010 SRT for $35,000 with like 10,000 miles on it. There is one online now.

So, thoughts are $35k is too high?

Re: Thoughts on Price?
A friend of mine bought an Overlander for in the $30's so yes. You're good if you stay in the low to mid 30 range.

Re: Thoughts on Price?
I think you are dreaming if you think you can get a NEW Overland w/RES for $35k. They are bringing more at Manheim (wholesale auction) right now. Someone posted it above, there are not that many '11's left ( as a percentage of leftover inventory). There is a g-note, $1k conquest and $1k USAA right now. You should be getting the car at tissue. Subtract out the rebates (if you apply for all) and you will be right around $37k and some change. If you do not need the rear DVD, lose it..there is another G.

Re: Thoughts on Price?
Thanks for the thoughts.

I don't need the RES, but it is already in the car. I doubt they are going to take it out for me!! :)

Re: Thoughts on Price?
Oh, and what does getting a car at tissue mean? (apologies for the dumb question)
