HID cutoff

Hey guys this is kinda random but does anyone have any pictures of their headlights shining on a wall from like 20 feet away? Thanks

Re: HID cutoff

Im not sure if there was a change between the HID projectors used in the 2008-2010 WK's and the 2011+ WK2's, but if it helps you I have pictures of the cutoff on my 2008 Grand Cherokee SRT8 and a video of them starting and cycling the autolevel. Again, they may be different so I didnt post, but if you want them let me know.

The sixth photo down in this post shows the 2011 low beam cutoff on a wall about three feet in front.

Nope

Re: HID cutoff

My photo sucked. I wouldn't say the cutoff is super sharp, but rather mellow when driving. It definately does NOT have that annoying, cheap a$$ prism near the top of the cutoff. The output color quite constant throughout the coverage area.

Thats too bad, because I think a nice sharp cutoff with a slight hint of purple along the edge looks amazing!!! Im sure the cutoff on the Jeeps is all fuzzy due to a fresnel type lens that diffuses it slightly. Either way its all personal preference, I personally love a nicely tuned sharp output :-)

Re: HID cutoff

It really all depends on one's definition of sharp. While driving, the cutoff is definately noticeable. I can try and capture a vid of mine if you like.

Disclaimer: There will be no purple. :)
