paint chipping
I was washing my jeep today and noticed about halfway up on the passenger door there is about 2 inch in length chips on the seem of the door that is starting to rust. There is also aprox 1 cm in length chip on the rear passenger door where the front and rear door meet. The doors are lined up fine and don't rub. I also noticed that in the same spot on the rear door the paint is rough almost like someone from the factory didn't know what they were doing. Anyone experience this or think ill be able to get this covered under. Warranty? I know no one opens the door on another vehicle because I never part next to anyone. Thoughts on getting this fixed?

Re: paint chipping
After just a few short months of ownership I noticed the paint was cracking on my front bumper cover. I posted details here and asked if anyone else was experiencing the same thing. Apparently no one was at the time. I took the Jeep in to the dealer who needed to submit digital pics to Chrysler (I guess to show this was not caused by contact with a fixed object). Chrysler agreed to repaint under warranty. 3rd party body shop did a miserable job. When I complained to the dealer, the Service Manager sent me to the body shop to meet with the owner. Body shop agreed to repaint the entire bumper to get the finish (orange peel) uniform. So far, so good. Iím not crazy about having a 6 month old, $40,000 car painted, but the cracking was not going to get any better. Go back to the dealer. You have nothing to loseÖ..

Re: paint chipping
buy some touch up paint and touch it up after you show the dealer(to prevent rust)
