Saved by offset tyres and side step.

I was driving down the motorway yesterday at 110Kph when a car drifted into my lane and side swiped my car. We pulled over and i got out expecting some nasty damage and found my rubber on his car and some of his rubber on my side step. Luckily my tyres are offset and stick out a little bit. i think between that and the side step, damage could have been worse.

Im considering myself very lucky!

Wow! That must have been a big tire on the other vehicle. Hopefully yours will clean up OK.

That IS the other vehicle, I think. It's a little Toyota. The smear is rubber from the Jeep's tire.

Hey Jayson

How uncanny, both of us in Brisbane and both being in bingles 1 day apart and both of our adversaries coming off 2nd best!

Here's the thread to mine yesterday

Must have been the day for it Aussie! Good to see on both occasions no one was hurt and good that both our jeeps have come out on top. Id be worried how long it would take for parts etc if there was any serious damage.
