i keep mine at 40psi cold. MPG has been averaging 16mpg city and no real loss of traction or uneven tire wear at 10k miles.

just got a 2014 JGC Limited with the 20" wheels and Goodyear 265/50-20 Fortera HL tires. Seems like the previous 2011 JGC Laredo with standard 18' Michelins rode quieter and smoother. Can anyone comment on this. I know the 20's will be somewhat sportier, but didn't think it would affect noise. Can anyone comment?

Until someone invents an air car that rides above the pavement we will always hear noise. My 20" Forteras are quiet as a church mouse. Others might think they howl like a log truck. I rarely drive with the radio off and keep it at a normal volume that is pleasant but does not blow my ears off and I don't notice any tire noise at all. I thought my Commander was quiet but the Grand Cherokee is quieter.

I run the Forteras at 36-37. I also agree that this jeep, with these tires, runs great. Smooth and quiet and it handles 1-2 feet of snow without a problem.

I was actually surprised by the poor performance with the fort tires on my 14 summit. We just for 15' of snow so I had the right conditions to try the new summit/tires and I was not impressed. I know it isn't the vehicle but rather the tires, but I will be looking for new tires that handle all conditions better. Don't get me wrong the tires are nice, they ride great but not in snow IMHO

Most "all weather" tires will not do well in deep snow. Aside from that, my Forteras have performed well and have nearly half their tread left after 28K miles of mostly highway driving. That said, I have something else in mind for when I do replace them sometime this year.

Same here. Door sticker calls for 36 I think, but that felt a bit soft/spongy to me. I tried 40 but that was a little harsh - to me 38 is just right.
