Dashboard removal and covering

Hello, I've read your post about the covering of the dashboard. (beautifull!!!)
I have a '05 WK 5.7 Limited and I'd like to cover the dashboard with leather, but in Italy it is very difficult because everyone says me it's too difficult to remove the dash.
I'd like to remove the whole dash (and the shift tunnel, too), if possible, but I'd be happy also to remove only the upper part of it (as seen in your thread), to cover only this part.
Could you please help me sending to me some pictures/drawings/links where I can see in which mode it is bolted and how I can remove it?
Thank you very much in advance :)

I mean this part.
It looks simply ....

I would just start by removing the gauge cluster and nav/radio bezel. Then start on one end and remove all screws you can see and go from there. I dont think theres a write up here on each screw needed. Its pretty much just find each screw to remove.

Yes, I don't pretend it.
I'd like only to know (before beginning to do it) if someone has removed this part and if it is a simple thing (to do myself) or quite difficult ....

As Scott says it's not technically difficult, but very labour intensive and you have to be very methodical. I believe you could be looking at two days work (removal and install).

Ok, let's speak only about the part I posted the picture (the upper side of the dash).
Is it linked to passenger air bag or is it only a cover?
If it is only a cover (like a carter), if I remove the radio and gauge bezel it's ready to be unscrewed and removed.

If not so, I even don't begin the work...

This thread may be a little more helpful as in you can see the process he went through.

Just like what pieces first he removed and so on. Start small and go from there.

This is pretty informative as well. Other then that at the end of the day its just swallowing hard, getting a shot, and getting in to it.

No problem man just when you do it. Post up some pics and a write up to help future modders that may want to do this. Good luck buddy.
