0-60 times?

Can you guys post your 0-60 times and what mode you were in and if you used paddle shifters or stick? Im only hitting 5.1 in sport or track mode with paddle shifters or auto shift. with low fuel....

Cyanideg,
During the engineer chat in September they had provided guidelines on how to reliably hit a 4.8second 0-60 run. Here is a extract from the chat transcript:

SRT Engineer: The procedure is quite simple:
- Switch to TRACK
- Engage 1st gear (paddle or console shifter)
- Raise rpm’s to around 1,000 but not more than 1,100
- Get your foot off the brake pedal as quickly as humanly possible to minimize brake drag, while obviously flooring the gas pedal at the same rate
- Keep a close eye on the tach, when the needle gets to 5,200, shift to 2nd gear

One more note further in the chat:

Comment From Russ
Have you noticed any change in 0-60 and quarter mile performance once the engine has say, 5,000 or 10,000miles on it?

6:37

SRT Engineer 7: Its fair to say that as a vehicle breaks in all its rotating components (Engine, Trans, Axle...), it will get faster in the quarter mile. With that said, that curve should stop ~2000-3000 miles...assuming your tires are still in good condition

Hopefully this helps,
Gore

what mode and how did you do it? rolling stop? brake stand? etc?

Re: 0-60 times?

for the 4.8 i have it in track mode. took off from complete stand still. left foot on brake and right foot on gas. Take off with RPM's just above 1k more like 1200. i left the car handle shifts. i used premium shell gas, i am one of those guys who thinks there is a difference with gas. And the tank was complete topped off full!

i have used the paddle shifters and will do a run using them in the coming days.
i believe the car can do atleast a 4.6 when all conditions are ripe!

Looking at the images - are the blue rings around the speedometer and rpm also illuminated when the lights are on? I'm asking because on the darker image, it seems that they aren't but on the other one, it seems to be the case?
