Tumbleweeds infringe on Jeep

After 60 MPH winds on November 26th, a friend forwarded this image of a Acadia (corrected re:yocubed post) in a driveway in
Garden City, Kansas - with wind driven tumbleweeds everywhere.

That's a GMC Acadia not the JGC, you can tell by the placement of the reverse lights amongst other subtle differences

Here's the GMC view from the rear

Yes you're right, I will correct the initial post - I had a hard time telling - either way I don't want my Jeep attacked by tumbleweeds like that. Thanks.

Yeah either way that is a pretty cool shot but man would that be a PITA to clean up. Wonder if those things can cause significant paint damage?

They sure do cause damage expecially when wind driven at 50 to 70 mph. I have seen some the size of small VW's before, no kidding. I remember one time driving across northeastern Colorado where literally hundreds of tumbleweeds were racing across Interstate 76, and I was dodging them like I was driving a slalom course! I'm glad that wasn't my car in the picture - think how long that mess will take to clean up.

Looks to me like someone has been playing with photo editing software.

Bob, I'm nearly positive that pic was not photo-shopped, it was relayed by a meteorologist who works at the Dodge City office. Having worked the high wind warning event in Nebraska, I can attest to the ferocity of the winds on Nov. 26th, that caused the tumbleweed pileup. In fact along my back fence, facing north, I have so many corn husks and debris that blew in from nearby fields.
