What type of HID High Beams?

I've seen people with the Quad HID setups but do they run 4x 9006 style, I always liked that high beams were just that, blinding brightness that WASN'T focused like the projectors are.

What's the best HID setup for projectors, getting some ballasts and morimoto 9005 bulbs like these http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=4123 with a ballast and putting them in the reflector housing? Or putting projectors into the high beams as well?

I ask because I'm going to retrofit some retrofitsource morimotos (either the H1 or the D2S) projectors into a set of OEM 07 housings for the lowbeams and figure that while I have them open it might be a good time to fudge with the high beams if I plan to at all.

So I guess I'm asking....would 9005 HID with a ballast in the reflector give good light output as HIGH beams?

why don't you just go with quad bi-xenons? this way when you need to flash your lights they'll be really bright!

wasnt sure which projectors I'd use for the high beams. I think I'm overthinking this. Want to buy them tonight while TRS has their sale

I like the spread and brightness of the H1s for the lowbeams and the fact they dont require drilling is a plus.

Plus they're on sale almost $70 off (http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=3181)

What would I get for the high beams? If you could explain I'd really really appreciate it and I'll post pix and a writeup when I do it!

Re: What type of HID High Beams?

so quad bi-xenon would give me FOUR low beams at all times AND four high beams when they were on?

Is there special wiring required to get the high beams to stay on when the low beams are?

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but dude, do have any intention of returning the $20 that you stole from me for a nav disc?

thats just wrong LOL ^^^^^^^^^^^ minnow you should make that right bro/

for the high beam see if they have a projector without a cutoff line.............or a BI Xenon where you could remove the cutoff blade when on.

I send you emails once a week from my iluvnatiboh account and you don't respond. So I tried contacting you thru your Yahoo store and have gotten no response from that. I just want my 20 spot back, no nav disc, just my money.

It would be a Christmas miracle if you just return my money.

not with a bi-xenon setup. the way bi-xenon's work is that they cut off the top half of the light output when the low beams are on. when the high beams are on, it removes the blocker and let's all of the light shine out.

Apparently he has no intentions of doing that. No response from him via e-mail, PM, or forum threads. Looks like he will be buying himself something nice with my $20 for Christmas.
