Cargo cover

Does the cargo cover come out? I tried to remove it to put something big in the trunk but it doesn't seem to budge. The owners manual doesn't mention anything about removal or ability to be removed. Thanks for your help!

Re: Cargo cover

yes. one of the sides slides in to release - spring loaded (i think left side). It acts like a giant toilet paper roll holder.

Yes - I think it's the left also (looking forward).

Don't try to pull up without pushing in first.

bump. (and thank you search feature.)
2 week old JGC, and brother asks me to go with him to Lowes to buy an awning for his deck since I've got the cargo hauler!
Damned if I could figure out how to remove cargo cover...

pressure/spring loader- move it to the left or right and it pops upward

Re: Cargo cover

Mine is only spring loaded on one end. With flat side up is on passenger side so have to pull driver's side out first. When taling out or putting back in be careful that the slot is straight across and not twisted or the cover may bind.

Re: Cargo cover

This thread is a lifesaver. I had to do an emergency move of my daughter and with a 2 week old (today) JGC, I had no idea how to take the cover off. It also stores nicely on the floor behind the front row seats with the second row folded down.
