License Plate Bulb Broke
So the other day I was trying to replace my stock license plate bulbs with led ones I ordered. I thought to remove the old bulbs you had to twist the little socket thing then pull the bulbs out.

So I twisted one socket and released it, pulled the bulb out after much time but when I went to push the led replacement in, the socket slipped into the housing!!!!!!!!

The stealership wants $75 to pull it back out (despite my car is CPO AND has a bumper to bumper extended warranty)

WHAT SHOULD I DO?! I tried countless times to pull it back out but no luck. Have any ideas? I'm in LA btw if anyone around here could help me out.

Re: License Plate Bulb Broke
your gonna have to pull the liscense plate brow off or gain access to the backside of the brow. You can do that by removing the interior hatch panel. That will give you access tothe brow mounting points.

Re: License Plate Bulb Broke
I removed the back panel and saw that there was this metal plate blocking off the area the brow is supposed to be. Maybe I didn't look correctly but it looked like it was blocked off

Re: License Plate Bulb Broke
if you remove the inner panel the BROW is removeable. they sell painted ones to match as some MY came with black plastic. I know i changed mine.

its literally 2 -3 nuts holding it on.

Re: License Plate Bulb Broke
Guess ill remove the trunk panel again and see if I could find the nuts holding it in

Re: License Plate Bulb Broke
So by removing the entire plastic panel on the inside I should be able to see the bolts holding the brow in place right? And removing the brow will let me easily replace the bulbs and fix the socket?
