Hello to all.

Picked up the new Deep Cherry Red Overland last Friday.

This is simply an awesome vehicle.

Pictures are the best that we could do, however, the Deep Cherry hue just looks better in the flesh. The camera seems to turn it into a lighter red, not sure why.

Actually yes, iPad2 holders.

They also charge the iPads and connect with wireless headphones to watch movies. They are yet to be hardwired, in the next week or so.

They are "Nextbase" units and I brought them in from Germany as the Australian agent had an issue with stock.

I was going to get piggyback headrest DVD players, however even with new iPads, it works out about the same cost with the holders. Plus the Apps and games are pretty cheap.

A great look Swampy...we're going to look at a GC tomorrow and have to test drive a petrol limited...no CRD available. We want an Overland CRD with the Off Road Pack and it's a toss up between the True Blue Pearl and the Deep Cherry Red with the Light Frost Beige interior. After looking at your pics, we might be leaning that way. Not being able to see the colours in the flesh makes the choice difficult and the closest dealer is an hour and a half away as well.

Did you fit the fog lamp surrounds and side steps ? We saw the fog lamp bezels on Just for Jeeps website and thought they really looked great.

Hi Inkeepers

The Deep Cherry Red is a colour that changes dramatically with the light. In sunlight it is deep red that has a cherry hue to it. With polarised sunglasses on it looks more like a darker red. In the twilight or under artificial lighting (ie garage) it looks more like a dark molten red. We love it and have already had many comments on it.

The photos just don't do it justice as they make it look a lighter red then it actually is.

The dealer fitted the sidesteps however the chrome fog bezels we had pre-purchased from JustforJeeps and they went on as soon as we the vehicle home. Literally 30secs a side to change, no tools required, can lift the existing bezels out with your fingers.

Yes, Missus is lovin it as it is essentially her car.

She is gradually getting used to all the Tech on the vehicle. Was using the ACC yesterday for the first time. Watched a DVD the other day while waiting to pick up the kids at school.

The navigation system does a few strange things like telling you to "turn now" after you have already made the turn.

Otherwise it is a great car.
