NEW Turbo SRT-8 Cherokee V

This is a slightly revised version, will replace with a new one when he gets to the track.

Here is a new video of one of our SRT-8 Turbo Systems down in Florida.

Enjoy

Very tempting. And now that KB is telling everyone that they aren't releasing a Jeep kit, I may be looking for another form of F/I. We'd definetly have to make a few changes though. No meth or add-on electronics for me. Air to Air I/C and CMR tuning is a must. ;)

What were the 1/4 mile times? HP gains?

He was at an 1/8th mile track, don't have numbers yet. I think he is going to a dyno next week. Will post when available.

The original prototype system was running consistent 11.95 1/4 times right out of the box on an all stock 6.1 engine.

You can opt for which ever tuning method you desire, iEMS3 or a CMR from a tuner of your choice.

In my opinion, any FI on a Hemi needs water/meth injection to remove combustion chamber heat. An intercooler will remove heat from the air charge, but it can not remove additional heat created in the combustion chamber.

This unit is running in Florida, and under full boost he is only seeing about 135 IAT temps, and this is upstream of the meth injection so the IAT does not see the sudden temp decrease.

With the iEMS3 for tuning, and water/meth injection, we are not seeing ANY knock retard anywhere up to full RPM, and we are only pulling a very modest 3 degrees of timing at full boost.

For CMR to get the combustion temps and pressures down, you have to pull a lot more timing, and it is not uncommon to see some KR on the datalogs.

I would be happy to configure a system to whatever your desires, we can certainly delete the water/meth pump, line, and spray nozzle.

Please note that the large water/meth tank in the back was added by the owner, our normal system routing uses the factory windshield washer tank.

On a turbo, the iEMS3 provides your part throttle boost fuel control (CMR can not do this), wide open throttle fuel control, timing retard, progrssive electonic boost control (would cost $500 for a unit that could do the same), progrssive water/meth control, the ability to direct log your wideband output in the datalogs as a fuel table referrence for tuning, and the tuning software so you have control over your own tuning.

If I can help you out or configure something for your individual tastes, let me know.

yeah tim vids are cool, what are the numbers. lots of vortechs and other superchargers out now for the srt8 and they putting down great numbers for a cheap proce.

how do you compare.........~5500 for a vortech, 1 K install and you run 11.7-11.5 all day.

Thanks,

There is a big difference with a turbo setup and a supercharger setup.

Turbos can make more low end and midrange where superchargers shine up top. Well unless you get a roots or some type of positive displacement blower.
