RHB Picture loading

I have a 2011 grand cherokee with the 430 rhb unit. I have a scandisk 8gb flash drive formatted to fat32. I have loaded pics onto it and the car will not reconize anything on it. What else has to be done to get it to work??

A few others have noted on the RER (730N) that you need at least ONE valid MP3 file on the USB drive for your Jeep to recognize the drive.

Try that; may be a similar thing for the RHB.

Good luck!

Also make sure you dont put them in a folder I believe. And they have to be jpg i think? Do a forum search and there should be a thread or two on the topic to recognize USB

I believe also there is a filesize and image size limit.

jltcasper3, I'm not sure on the exact specs. I recall reading something about it either on here or a paper document. I'll dig around tomorrow and see what I can find.

I have the same radio and on my FAT32 flash drive (2GB Memorex) I have 2 folders.
On MyMusic and the other is MYPictures.

The file sizes of the pictures (.JPG) range from 192KB up to 1.6MB and they all transfer fine. I have always had the music mp3 files on the flash drive so maybe this is a requirement.

The manual recommends that you size your photos to 240 by 158 pixels. Otherwise the 430N will resize it for you and you may not like the result.

ok, i have put pics and music on usb, in folders and out of folders, i have labeled pics .jpg, .jpeg and it does not matter, i can not view them, i have not yet resized them yet, i will try to figure that out. I can get the mp3 music to play though, but it won't let me copy it, i can go to my files and click music and add then it shows a front usb and cd option, it will not let me click usb even though it is playing the mp3 on it, the same for trying to add pics too. So whats the deal with that?? I will try to resize the pics next.

User's Manual: Media Center 430N (RBZ/RHB) page 61:

"It is recommended to change the picture dimensions on a PC or Digital Camera to 240 by 158 pixels before the import."

Having issues myself. I do have a music track loaded but a friend said I have to wait for the USP to stop being grayed out but it never seems to. If I insert my memory stick it just says no files found,,,,humm
