battery terminals for corrosion, then have the battery tested

I would check all the HT leads to the battery, block, starter as it looks like a major battery/electrical problem

I had a similar problem with my '05 before. It ended up being that the battery was bad. Had it replaced and the problems went away. Seemed that the '05's were very touchy when it came to battery voltage. I also had the battery replaced twice in two years so I'm not discounting that there were other electrical "gremlins" in that thing. I also remember reading something about a wiring harness issue within the steering column that was causing some problems for some people.

You should look first at your local Jeep dealer for a 2012 model!
