Does anyone know how to take off the plastic cover thing that is around the ignition cyl? I just dont want to jump into and and start prying or breaking stuff, thats all. Thanks for the help.

Re: Key hole cover thing
From the 2007 service Manual:

1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2. Use a plastic trim removal stick (2) to remove switch bezel (1). Bezel snaps on.
3. To remove key lock cylinder (1) from housing (2), rotate key to ON position while pressing on release tab (3). This tab (3) is located on the right side of the switch assembly.
4. Pull key lock cylinder (1) from housing (2) for removal.

Yep, i actually used a butter knife. worked like a charm. I needed to see if i had an antenna ring around the ignition cyl. for the remote starter. Trying to look and see why its not working correctly. Might just take it to a friend who installs them to figure it out.

Re: Key hole cover thing
There is a antenna ring that i think is for the sentry key bypass system to allow it to start without the key in it. Wires seem to have been cut. Silly dealer.

Yea thats why the ring is there and thats why its not working. You might be able to re connect it but if not any remote starter shop can for you.

Re: Key hole cover thing
Called up directed electronics. I have a direct line i can call on for a replacement parts. Unfortunately it does not come separately. Tomorrow i am calling the rep that said if they have extras and they will send me one for free. But if it don't come separate i dont know how they can send it but i guess they will figure that out.

If not then ill have to just try and splice the wires back together and hope it works.
