05 radio swap

I have a 05 WK with Boston sound and want to swap my head unit with a stock one that has a aux input. will this unit fit and connect properly? and the listing says something about programing?

thanks

Hard to tell. Idk what year they started making the radio with an aux input so the harness in the back may be different.

Try searching for an aux adapter of some sort. I believe they make something like that....

Try crutchfield.com

Re: 05 radio swap

if you only needed an aux input you could have purchased a radio from an 06 for like $30

i wasent sure so i asked here, and took a week for some one to post something mildly helpfull.. by then i had already found that alternative, it also arrived yesterday so i may return it if i can use a stock radio that had the aux.. just did not know the interchangeability of these radios... my MJ is old enough to where it is cut and splice simple.. but i prefer the stock look of newer radios.

The AUX on my 06 factory stereo is broken. I hate the position of it anyway. Anyone know if it is possible to wire something to the back of it so I could relocate the input to a better location like the console instead of just replacing it?

yes RER are the 1. generation mygig with navigation and bluethoot, you can also install the 2. generation mygig with navigation RHR with navteq or RHB with garmin.

you need only the lockpick-adapter, the installation going 10 min. just plug play....all works perfect also steering wheel button.

are a good vendor, i have buy some lockpick from this guy¨!

important for the mygig unit are you need a LOW SPEED unit, not high speed!
