Picking up your Jeep at their MI plant?

I'm use to doing European Delivery for my BMW and Audi's, but is there such a thing for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, I assume no? I'm in central Ohio and it's only 2.5 hour drive?

Your Grand Cherokee is made at the Jefferson North plan in Michigan. Only the Wrangler and Liberty are made in Toledo.

I don't think they have delivery prep and facilities at the plant, you would need to go though a local dealer perhaps, to take care of the paperwork.

I'm in Pittsburgh area which is about a 5 hour drive from Detroit.

According to Milous' tracking, my WK2 rolled off the line on a late Saturday afternoon. It sat on the factory lot on Sunday (it was Sunday, after all). It left Detroit very early Monday morning, and it arrived at the dealership the very next day (Tuesday) around noon.

Not worth a personal road trip to Detroit if Chrysler is consistently moving vehicles like that for nearby cities.

Is the delivery fee still $825 or do you receive a discount for being so close?

They should offer it.
AND, if you buy one, whether or not you pick it up there,
you should get a nice guided tour of the plant next time you're in town.

As I recall, only the folks that ordered Vipers were allowed to come and pick up their cars and get a factory tour.
