CAI on a 5.7

Anyone using this? Does volant make a CAI for the 5.7 I have not seen one...

I'm open for CAI suggestions. Starting to do my research now.

"short ram" - AirAid
"bumper cai" - Bwoody Performance.

Volant's CAI for the 6.1 will not fit cleanly into the 5.7 because of the radiator hose. It is in constant contact with the CAI and since the rad hose is so hot all the time, it acts as an efficient conductor of heat, negating the purpose of buying a CAI.

I'd either go Bwoody, or K&N. I've had K&N intakes on my ZJ and WJ, and loved them.

Re: CAI on a 5.7

I had a friend with a K&N on his tundra and it was causing him some problems. He thinks it is from the oiled filter. Granted he has no great knowledge in this subject, but it is in my head all the same.

Could very well be from the oiled filter.. less is more with any oiled filter.
