SRT8, fuel economy
While fuel economy is not at the top of the priorities when selecting an SRT8, I would imagine it is tracked by owners. Current owners, I am looking for some feedback. My current Overland w/ Hemi I have been averaging 15.5 mpg. This is mostly with highway driving, flow of traffic around 80 mph.

Re: SRT8, fuel economy
I've had mine for over a week now with 1,111 miles on it currently. Mostly average driving with a few WOTs in there, probably 60% hwy/40% city and am currently a tad over 14mpg. On a 12-hour drive from Nebraska to Ohio, all highway was getting a little over 16mpg and that was an average of 70mph.

Re: SRT8, fuel economy
I live in a area with speed limits of 45-55 with lots of traffic lights (I.e dead stop to 55, then dead stop). I am averaging around 11.6 to 11.8 mpg. Got 15.6 on a recent highway run averaging 85 - 90 mph.

Re: SRT8, fuel economy
Almost 3 weeks in @2100 miles was 14.6, that was mostly highway, 5 days of stop and go NoVA commuting (went down to 12.x then) and a couple of days at the drag strip (13.13 in the 1/4!)

EVIC shows I am averaging 13.1 mpg after 1050 miles. About 70% of those miles are highway miles. There are a few 0-60 runs in there and some spirited city driving.

12.2 is usually my average... I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the skinny pedal on the right...

Yeah, really. They should make that thing harder to find.

Re: SRT8, fuel economy
Thank you to all that posted their numbers. As stated earlier, an SRT8 shouldn't be associated with "fuel economy". However I am looking at this as my daily driver (upgrading from the current Overland w/ Hemi). Based on the numbers, the drop in mpg would be minimal but would result in a significant improvement in overall performance.

I'll continue to drive my Overland but will look to order a MY13 JGC SRT8 or consider a CPO X5M. Let's see what the future will bring....
