2011 grand cherokee steering noise
We bought it in aug of 2010 laredo x 4x4,now we have little over 20000 miles and every time i make a left turn a knocking sound comes from the front driver side ( speed of 20 to 40 mph) i took it to 3 dealerships and none of them can seem to find what is causing it, im taking it to another dealership some time this week.

Also i have checked the vin # by calling chrysler and there is no tbs or recall on the vehicle.

Thank for the help

Re: 2011 grand cherokee steering noise
Knocks can be difficult to isolate with your hands and ears on the vehicle let alone a vague description over the interwebz... I know your more asking if someone has delt with it before and not specifically asking for a full diagnosis, and hopefully someone can give some information, personally I have yet to deal with this, I remember some people were talking about the intermediate steering shaft (that goes from the column to the rack) causing some steering knocking noises... again I have yet to deal with this, furthermore I think there was a tsb made reguarding this knocking.

I have a 2011 JEEP COMPASS, and on mine when making a slow right turn on uneven road, you can hear a popping or snapping sound coming from the left front area, of the lower control arm.
There is a old T.B. for 2009 model with same problem. told to replace mounting bolts for LOWER CONTROL ARMS !!
