For Those With The Bilstiens.

I am looking for some feedback on the non-SRT8 Bilstien WK upgrade where everybody is reporting a 3/8" lift. Did they ever settle? Or has the "lift" been permanent? Thanks:)

New springs will settle a bit over time, but high pressure shocks won't. I'd suggest WK Bilsteins which will bring it down a little under stock, and without the harsh ride of SRT springs.

non of the SRT suspension componets are harsh riding.........they are so much better than the nonSRT because you have a sense of control with no bounciness.

But to answer the OP's question....DMS is right about the wk bilstein hd's....3/8" lift is there and will not settle.

Sweet:) Thanks so much for the fast reply. I am still thinking on it, cause if the Bilstiens are so damn stiff that it actually raises the vechile, I just don't know with the factory springs it it would be way too harsh and bouncy. I only have 40K on it, and it still rides like a dream on road trips. Way to soft for corners and such, but just absoultly "floats" down the interstate at 70+:)

the WK Bilsteins will be a HUGE improvement over stockers! You may also look into the SRT sways bars to help around corners! They are very inexpensive and easy to install. Great bang for your buck!

That was my exact plan! Bilstiens and the rear SRT-8 sway bar:)

umm, you must live where the roads are smooth. I test drove the SRT and could not stand the harsh ride, (Chicago roads) so got the Overland instead. I tow my race car also and the SRT can't tow, or go offraod, which is not a real Jeep, to me.

oops, I meant WK Eibachs will bring it down below stock height (with the HD Bilsteins), ..my bad.

Just got my SRT front bar in, and it handles much better than with just the rear one on; i.e., less understeer.

Stock springs with wk bilsteins make for an excellent ride that you will definately not find harsh. It's what i run all winter.
