HID fog users CHIME IN !

I have been doing a lot of research on the forum about the hid fogs. I am looking for a yellow hid kit for my fog lights but I keep reading about people that had heat problem with their hids and melted their housing lens.

I would highly appreciate that you guys take a minute to talk about your experiences with whatever color hid fog you installed.

Wich kit are you guys using ? Any problems so far ? Any recommendations or advise on what I should NOT use.

Thanks for your time and have a nice christmas btw ;) !

Phil

im running 8000k fogs
just some chinese set, had them for 6 months or so and they are still going strong
my fogs are tinted, and being that its winter and always dark my fogs are on everytime i go driving

no melting or anything of the sort
IMO if u stay with 35w hids u shouldnt have a problem

i ran 3000k for abit but didnt really like it...also didnt look very good thru the tint lol

im running a 55w 3000k kit, no problems so far (besides washed out color)....... just installed 3 layers of yellow tint on my other housings, so they should be deep deep yellow when i get them installed

ive got 6k fogs to match my 6k headlights... i love my fogs, they are super bright.. im not really a fan of the mismatched colors between head/fog. Mine work great, ive driven through streams above my bumper and they hold strong!!

3k fogs here...love em! When you're actually in weather the yellow truly helps! I have relays on each side and the xentec ballast. Have had zero problems and I HIGHLY recommend going HID for headlights and fogs!
