As long as the tires are not over 31" tall they will fit without a lift (mine fit and it's lowered) no problem, but you will have to cut the bolt as seen below. At full lock you may rub, you may not, you will have to check and see.

YES, exactly the thread I was looking for!

I just had a set of 255/70R17 G/Y Wrangler Silent Armors mounted, however the bolt is rubbing the sidewall tred. After about 2 hours of research it looks like cutting the bolts is the easiest solution. Can you give me instructions on how your cut yours?

I'm trying to avoid getting a lift, but I do have the Bilstein HDs which raise it 3/8"

Thanks
Burton

Easiest way is a grinder with a cut off wheel. I suppose a sawzall could be used if you can get it in there. Any cut-off tool with a disc would work (Roto-zip, dremel, etc.)

cut it sort of angular if you can in case you have to take off the ball joint at a later time it will be easier

I only took about 3/8" off of mine. I didn't cut any threads. I really didn't need to cut it at all since the tires fit. But after I got home I trimmed it down a little for piece of mind.

i DID NOT cut my bolt... my 1.5" spacers did the trick

Only chop off as much as necessary. If you have plans to lift it, you'll need that 8mm hex end to re-install the upper arms. Spidertrax 1.5" spacers work for me too!
